Design Codes and Guidelines

To help ensure that new residential development that might be proposed in Pentewan Valley Parish is well-designed and matches the distinctive character of the area a Design Code and Guidelines booklet has been created. This was drawn up by a specialist company called AECOM using grant from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) led by Locality. 

It presents a summary of the key characteristics which make Pentewan Valley a special place to live and visit, which is then used
to form specific Design Codes and Guidelines which promote best practice in design for the area. 

We would like to know what local people think about the Design Code and Guidelines, and will shortly run an online consultation asking for comments on its proposals.
